The care of the fresh flowers is an important part of the preservation process. After you are finished enjoying the flowers you can get the petals ready for shipment. Please do not lay or put the fresh petals on anything plastic. This will cause them to mold.
Take the petals off the flower.
Discard the stem and leaves.
The petals should be laid out on paper towels. Make sure the petals do not touch each other. This will prevent the petals from molding. Molded petals cannot be used.
Let the petals dry until they feel coarse. This usually takes 3-5 days.
